Sports/School/ DOT Physicals

Sports, school, and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals are specific types of medical testing services designed to assess an individual's physical fitness and health status to participate in certain activities or meet specific regulatory requirements. Each type of physical serves a unique purpose.

Sports Physical

We conduct sports physicals, also known as pre-participation physical examinations (PPE), to evaluate the overall health and fitness of individuals before participating in organized sports activities. These physicals aim to identify any existing medical conditions or injuries that could pose a risk during physical exertion. Sports physicals often include a review of medical history, a physical examination, and discussions about injury prevention and safe participation in sports.

School Physicals

School physicals are medical examinations required by educational institutions to ensure that students are healthy and fit to attend school or participate in certain school-related activities, such as sports programs or physical education classes. These physicals typically assess general health, immunization status, vision, hearing, and other vital signs.

DOT Physicals

DOT physicals are mandated by the Department of Transportation for individuals seeking commercial driver's licenses (CDL) or performing safety-sensitive jobs within the transportation industry. These physicals evaluate the physical and mental fitness of commercial drivers to ensure they can safely operate commercial vehicles on the roads. DOT physicals include assessments of vision, hearing, blood pressure, cardiovascular health, respiratory function, and neurological status.
